Sarah Lane Moran was born on October 12, 1976 in Santa Cruz, CA. and grew up in Sebastopol, California. She later attended San Francisco State University where she partied and studied until she received a bachelor's degree in Broadcast and Electronic Communication Arts. Sarah was the senior segment producer and on-air talent for the nightly G4TechTV variety show The Screen Savers (Now known as "Attack of the Show", where her main involvement revolved around the internet entertainment sector. Sarah also produced weekly segments entitled Sarah's Damn Good Website, which showed off amusing or entertaining websites, and Gems of the Internet which found odd websites on the Internet. She also produced a news segment entitled The Feed.
She joined TechTV in Feb. 2001 after working several years for a local station, KRON-TV, where she produced weekly 30 minute hi-tech newsmagazine shows, a documentary, and wrote for the nightly news.
In April 2004, Sarah Lane, along with TechTV personalities Morgan Webb, Laura Swisher, Catherine Schwartz and Melanie Kim, were included in the "TechTV's Sexiest Techie" poll by Playboy magazine. Tech-TV viewers voted for their favorite girl via the Playboy website, and the winner of the poll would be was going to be offered a nude photo spread in a future issue of Playboy. Morgan Webb, who won the poll, did not pose. Sarah Lane was offered the spread, but also declined.
Sarah Lane was one of only 6 Tech-TV stars, including Adam Sessler, Morgan Webb, Kevin Rose, Chi-Lan Lieu, and Brendan Moran, to survive the layoffs from the merger of G4 and TechTV in May 2004.
Sarah is currently employed as the Director of Production at Revision 3.
